Tutoring centers run on trust. Their software should keep up.

Most learning centers track the most important fact in their business (which children are in the building right now) on a paper sign-in sheet, a spreadsheet, or a tool built for gyms or dentists. It works until the afternoon rush, a substitute at the desk, or a parent early for pickup.

I built the first version of Classie in 2019 while working as a center assistant at Kumon. During COVID, we needed a better way to manage parent pickups. Paper sign-in sheets weren't cutting it when parents had to wait outside. So I made a screen that showed who was in the room and who was leaving next.

That simple screen worked well enough that I kept building. It grew into scheduling, attendance tracking, parent messaging, and staff management. Today, Classie is purpose-built software for tutoring centers and learning academies, made by someone who's actually worked the front desk.
